How to Haven

Welcome to the Haven Collective! We’re… a little different from anything else you’ve experienced. So if you’re planning to join us for the first time, here’s some stuff you should know about how to join us:

Get Invited

Here’s the secret: everyone is welcome to gather with us. But we want you to be prepared, because Haven isn’t like anything else you’ve experienced. So be sure to check our invite page to get what you need to get the most out of this week’s gathering.

Find a Beacon

Haven is something you do with other people. Our beacons are our small gatherings of friends who are asking the same questions and on the same journey. There might be a beacon near you – you can join in person! Or be part of one of our virtual beacons. Getting to know some folks ahead of time can make your first gathering even better. But don’t worry – if you just want to show up, we’ll help you get connected!

Prepare

In the Weekly Invite, there’s usually a teaching, piece of art or some questions for you to meditate on before you arrive at the gathering. Carve out some time in your week to do that, and plan to show up having considered what you want from a Haven gathering. Unlike traditional church, Haven isn’t passive. Speaking of which…

Participate

What makes Haven isn’t our pastors or staff. It’s not our musicians or our volunteers. It’s you. Traditional churches rely on a small team of experts to lead, but Haven relies on every single person who gathers with us. If you’re not there, it’s not the same. And if you’re there, but you’re not participating, it’s still not the same. You’ll have the chance to share, to respond, to join in. Plan to participate. Because we’re not the same without you!
